It’s Krismis under, and with, the Stars at Taalmonument
Amphitheatre concert and Jill Levenberg will stir the hearts with angelic sounds

Make a note now to head out to Paarl on Saturday, 15 December 2018, as the Language Monument and PaarlFM present a first, dazzling evening under, and with, Boland’s singing stars and actress Jill Levenberg. Old and young will relive the Christmas spirit thanks to the choirs’ and orchestras’ unbelievable interpretations of well-known and lesser-known Xmas songs.

“The main purpose is to emphasise the birth of Jesus through song and music,” says the Afrikaans Language Museum and Monument director, Michael Jonas. “It will also provide an opportunity for participants, including Shining Stars and Boland Youth Orchestra, to take hands and act as part of larger groups. It is truly a privilege to offer such an opportunity, so we hope that as many people from the widest background possible will share a wonderful summer evening in this beautiful setting.” As the show commences at 18:00 in the famous Paarl Amphitheatre, guests will not only be overwhelmed by the music, but also experience a beautiful sunset.

Levenberg – famous for her role as Antie Maymoena in ‘Suidooster’ and currently appearing in the film, ‘The Story of Ellen Pakkies’ – will be the MC and guest artist. The other musical groups include Probell Woodwind Brass, Ida’s Valley’s Young Souls, Heathfield OAC Band, Eersterivier Silverstreams, Ambassadors, Makupula High, Flave Five and Sinc4.

Tickets, which are expected to sell out quickly, are available at Computicket and the Language Monument at R100 for adults and R50 for children from 6 to 14 years old. Free for children under 6. Bring a blanket or pillow, and warm clothes. Food, cooldrinks and warm drinks will be on sale. Safe parking is available and entry is controlled.
